How to Write a Winning Scholarship Essay
When you're writing a scholarship essay, you want to make sure that you're showing off your best angle. But how do you do that?
Tips for Success:
Focus on the prompt. What's the prompt? How will you answer it? A good scholarship essay will have a clear theme, and the path should be clear and easy to understand.
Be specific and personal. Make sure that your essay shows how your past experiences have helped prepare you for success in life, and what those experiences mean for who you are today as an adult. Show how your education will help you solve whatever problem you're trying to solve in your life.
Be persuasive! Don't just say that you're a good student, or that you're a member of a minority group—be specific about why those things matter to you.
