There's no such thing as an easy interview. You know that, right? Even if the job or internships you're applying for is what you've dreamed about for years, an interview is still a test of your skills and knowledge—and nerves. As someone who's secured 6 internships in 3 years, let's go through some tips for success.

Tips for Success

1. Confidence:

A confident interviewee can indicate that they know what they’re talking about, which signals to the interviewer that if hired, you wouldn't need a lot of time getting acclimated to the job. Feel the emotion don't show the emotion. If your nervous, feel nervous but don't fidget or have chuckle when inappropriate to do so.

Knowledge:

The best candidates for any position are those who have the most knowledge about it. Right? Wrong. The best candidates are those who are most adaptable. For example, if you lack the knowledge the job requires, have answers to how you plan to obtain or are already obtaining knowledge outside of that job. Think about the things that make you uniquely capable of adapting.

Passion:

Making it clear that you're passionate about your interests is a great way to show the interviewer that you're more than just another dime-a-dozen candidate, and that you'll bring something special to their team. Be honest about your intentions and it will come across positively and passionately.
